マツモトマイクロスフェアーは液状の低沸点炭化水素を熱可塑性高分子殻（シェル）で包み込んだ熱膨張性マイクロカプセルです。
加熱すると、高分子の殻が軟化し、中の液状炭化水素が気体に変化するため、その圧力でカプセルが体積で50-100倍に膨張します。
樹脂成形による軽量化剤・増量剤、断熱材、自動車のアンダーボディコーティング・制振材、シーラント接着剤等といった様々な用途で使われていますので、その効果を紹介します。

Our product is the so-called “Thermoexpanable Microcapsules” known by the trade name “MATSUMOTO MICROSPHERE”.
“MATSUMOTO MICROSPHERE” is composed of two components; a core and a shell.
The core is low molecular hydrocarbon while the shell is made of thermoplastic polymer.
When the product is heated, the shell material is softened and the low molecular hydrocarbon is vaporized to cause internal pressure increase, leading to shell expansion.
Our product is used for primarily reducing weight, bulking and adding functionality in various applications and for various purposes. Typical applications are resin molding, sealants and adhesives, coatings, automotive parts and underbody coating, heat and acoustic insulating materials, and beyond.
